i just totally ‘won’ this electric typewriter on ebay at a fairly reasonable price (£21 + £5 postage) what makes it extra reasonable in my eyes is the fact it comes with a spare print wheel which makes this happen:

to be honest sweetie, you asking makes me feel quite supported/loved/cared for ♥ ♥ ♥ since no one can really realistically come over and give me a hug, and i don’t feel comfortable begging for pity mail (though i do love receiving mail. ha) just being told you care is pretty awesome. carl’s taking me to see the avengers in 3D tomorrow (though we’ve been planning this since like, friday, before i knew my uncle was this unwell) and imma gonna swish about in my cape. my cape cheers me up. and i should really go to bed. i guess i’ll cook my lunch falafels in the morning since it’s pretty late already..
my uncle died in his sleep last night. from cancer. in a really fucking similar way as carl’s dad almost exactly two years ago (12 days til bad anniversary) i told carl i was ok, but my eyes keep leaking anyway.
on a somewhat cheerier note, i present MY MOTHERFUCKING CAPE / travelling cloak. i showed it off at deaf cat and matt said i just need a hufflepuff patch on it now.

oh. i’m kinda really sad now. cos i was talking to my mum on facebook saying happy mother’s day (cos it’s mother’s day in finland today) and she told me that her younger brother, uncle harto, is dying from stomach cancer. it’s spread into his pancreas and he’s in the finnish equivalent of hospice care. he could go any day now. im ok, but shocked cos i had no idea that it was so bad (mum mentioned the cancer months ago, but since nothing had been mentioned since, i kinda forgot about it) and there’s absolutely nothing at all i can do. kinda wish i could go see him or something. mum said she’s gonna call him tomorrow and tell him i’m thinking of him. i haven’t actually seen him since my nan’s (his mum’s) funeral almost six years ago, but he was a nice man and an awesome cook.
i popped into coFWD today to drop of some of the supplied for tomorrow’s zine workshop. my typewriter, some paper & scissors and a bag of sample zines for people to read / look at. i should pack up the rest of the stuff ready cos i was going to go to moogie wonderland tonight to be sociable and nice and also try to make people come to the workshop, and it’s probably best i dont need to faff about looking for shit too much tomorrow morning.
so incredibly nervous. can’t really think what i need! gonna buy some more pens, glue and scissors tomorrow morning on my way there. i’ve got some stuff i photocopied especially for zine workshop comp zine making, and i’ll bring some of my box of doom.. what else?
speaking of shit i drew, this is what i did today. and once i find my crayons (so i can colour in the rest) i’ll probably upload it on my society6 page for t-shirts and prints, like..
